Having your photo taken at the famed Cape of Good Hope sign, marking the southwestern most tip of the African continent, is a must.

As we travel along the western side of the Cape Peninsula towards Chapmans Peak Drive, we head towards the north. The drive is a stunning coastal route, with towering mountains rising above us and sheer drops to the sea below. The curves and twists of the road seem to go on forever, making it easy to understand why this is considered one of the most spectacular coastal drives in the world.

After a quick stop to take photos at Chapman's Peak, we continue driving towards Hout Bay, a former fishing village located in a valley on the Atlantic seaboard of the Cape Peninsula.
