If you want to experience the highlights of Cape Town in a short timespan, this three-day tour is perfect for you. During this tour, you will have the opportunity to discover the city, indulge in the famous Cape Winelands, and be amazed by the stunning landscapes along the Cape Peninsula. With our experienced and knowledgeable guide always by your side, you can rest assured that your journey will be both safe and enjoyable.
Your guide will collect you from your accommodation in Cape Town and take you directly to Table Mountain, one of South Africa's most iconic landmarks. As you ascend the mountain by cable car, you will be treated to a bird's-eye view of the city. At the top, panoramic views and a diverse floral kingdom will greet you.
As we descend from the mountain, we shift our focus to the city that was visible from above. Cape Town boasts a rich heritage and beautiful architecture consisting of Cape Dutch and Victorian-style buildings. During your exploration of the city's bustling commercial centre, your guide will point out historically significant locations.
Having explored the city, we set out on a culinary adventure, guided by an expert. You will taste the local food and drinks in some of Cape Town's most lively and colourful areas. We also have gluten-free, vegetarian, and alcohol-free options if preferred.
Your guide will drop you off at your accommodation in Cape Town.
Start the day with a pick-up from your Cape Town accommodation. Journey south through Constantia Valley to Muizenberg, known for its white sandy beach and colourful beach huts.
We will be making a brief stop to explore Kalk Bay – a charming neighbourhood centred around a fishing harbour. The area is well-known for its vibrant creativity, unique shops, and stunning scenery. From here, our journey will continue southward along the eastern side of the Cape Peninsula, taking us to Simon's Town. This suburb is home to the South African Navy and boasts breathtaking colonial architecture.
We visit Boulders Beach, world-famous for its thriving colony of African Penguins. Although set amid a residential area, it is one of the few sites where this endangered bird can be observed at close range, wandering freely in a protected natural environment.
Lunch can be enjoyed at one of Simon's Town's lovely restaurants with spectacular views. Recommendations will be provided by your guide.
We continue southwards towards Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve at the tip of the Cape Peninsula. Upon entry, look out for roaming ostriches or mischievous baboons as you drive up to the spectacular Cape Point. A funicular ride to the top is not to be missed, offering panoramic views of the peninsula and the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. Having your photo taken at the famed Cape of Good Hope sign, marking the south-westernmost tip of the African continent, is a must.
As we travel along the western side of the Cape Peninsula towards Chapmans Peak Drive, we head north along a gorgeous coastal route with mountains towering above and sheer drops to the sea below. The curves and twists of the road seem to go on forever, making it easy to understand why this is considered one of the most spectacular coastal drives in the world.
After a quick stop to take photos at Chapman's Peak, we continue driving towards Hout Bay, a former fishing village located in a valley on the Atlantic seaboard of the Cape Peninsula. We proceed along the striking Atlantic Seaboard, passing the affluent suburbs of Camps Bay and Llandudno that lie below the Twelve Apostles mountain range and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
At the end of the tour, we will drop you off at your accommodation in Cape Town.
Start the day with a pick-up from your Cape Town accommodation. From there, we will head to the beautiful town of Stellenbosch, which is known for its surrounding vineyards and majestic mountains. The town's charming oak-shaded streets are adorned with cafés, boutiques and art galleries. The Cape Dutch architecture adds to the experience by giving a glimpse into the rich Dutch colonial history of South Africa.
Indulge in a one-of-a-kind experience at a boutique winery, where you can sample their exquisite, award-winning wine while taking in gorgeous views.
Our next destination is Franschhoek, which is known as the culinary capital of South Africa. It was featured in Time Magazine's 2022 list of the top 50 places to visit in the world. You will have the opportunity to explore the town and enjoy a delicious lunch at one of the many restaurants or cafés available.
After lunch, we will continue to Babylonstoren – one of the oldest working Cape Dutch farms in the Winelands region. The estate is built around a vast garden, inspired by the historic Company’s Garden in Cape Town. Each one of the more than 300 plant varieties in the garden is either edible or has medicinal value.
During your visit, you can enjoy a wine tasting or take part in various farm activities that will give you an insight into the farm's operations. Some of the activities include olive oil blending or visiting the essential oil distillery in the Scented Room.
We head back to Cape Town, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation.
